PORTHLEVEN
Most Southerly Harbour in Great Britain. Porthleven is an historic fishing village with a great feel. It has a safe harbour, great opportunities to swim and plenty of choice when it comes to pubs and restaurants. The Harbour Inn is a great St Austell Brewery pub which has real character and plenty of outside space where you can enjoy the views. The Ship Inn located on the opposite side of the harbour is a 17c pub, has outstanding views and hosts a great quiz night every Wednesday.

GWITHIAN
Voted the best beach by ‘the Times’ in 2024, Gwithian has stunning sunsets and an incredible surf. With views over to St. Ives on one side, and Godrevy lighthouse on the other, it is cer- tainly a great place to visit. You can also walk around Godrevy point and see all of the Seals who take residence on one of the private beaches and will often pop up in the surf.

MARAZION
Marazion is a charming town, and one of the oldest in Cornwall, with so much history to offer. You can visit Marazion for its sandy beaches, to walk around the village or to explore the well-known St Michaels Mount.
If you have children, they have a great play park which overlooks both the beach and the mount and is one of our favourites.

ST IVES
St Ives is a stunning coastal town in Cornwall, famous for its beautiful beaches and vibrant art scene. We would recommend doing the ‘park and ride’ at St Erth Station to avoid the congestion in peak periods. The train is so scenic, taking you past Carbis Bay beach, and overlooking the turquoise seas from the cliffs. The train stops at Porth minster Beach, ans is just a short walk down in to the centre of St Ives.

PEDN VOUNDER
If you wanted to venture a little further, consider Pedn Vounder & Porthcurno beach. Situated close to the Minack Theatre, it has crystal clear turquoise water and a beautiful white sandy beach. Head down for low tide and take in the stunning, rugged coast- line.
Do feel free to ask any questions regarding places to visit. We will be happy to share any insights we have, as we have spent many years travelling around this beautiful county with our three children and two dogs. -
Gwynver Beach
Tucked away just north of Sennen Cove, Gwynver Beach is a secluded and unspoiled stretch of golden sand that remains one of Cornwall’s best-kept secrets. Steeped in legend, this remote coastal haven is believed to be named after Guinevere, the wife of King Arthur, adding a mythical charm to its natural beauty.
Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Gwynver is framed by dramatic granite cliffs and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach is only accessible by a steep, sandy path descending through wild dunes, rewarding visitors with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere far removed from the crowds.
